ASPB Members will benefit by referring members to join ASPB.
Have you ever tried to find a colleague's address or phone number in
the ASPB Membership Directory and been frustrated that you were
unable to locate it? Indeed, many plant biologists do not think of
themselves as plant physiologists and therefore have not joined the
Society. ASPB's membership, aware of the need to be more inclusive
and to serve better the diverse interests of plant scientists, voted
overwhelmingly in December to change the name of the Society to the
American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB). By this change, ASPB
hopes to include in its ranks all those colleagues who, up to now,
have remained on the sidelines.
We are encouraging each ASPB member to look around their institution
or among other colleagues in the field to find those people who could
benefit from ASPB membership.
There are three winning reasons to participate in ASPB's membership drive:
* Your new recruit will win by enjoying the many benefits of ASPB membership!
* ASPB will win by gaining a stronger membership!
* You will win with special ASPB Awards!
