<x-flowed iso-8859-1>Dear List,

I am grad student and I am looking for methods for analyzing starch and
soluble sugars in leaf tissues. I have found out that Sigma has a starch
kit and I download the instructions from their site. For using this kit, I
need according to the technical buIlletin, 0.1-1 gram of sample in one of
them, and 50-100 mg in the other kit. I am willing to work all in ependorf
tubes, and I would like to ask the list if somebody has experience using
these kit or other enzymatic method in starch but with small amounts of
sample? Any reference or suggestion will be appreciated it.
Also I am looking for a reference book about principles of instruments
used in plant analysis and methods or something like this.

In advance thank you very much.
