Postdoctoral Position

A position is available starting July-October 2002 to research the function
and structure of genes and proteins in purple photosynthetic bacteria, with
a focus on Rhodopseudomonas palustris.  (See

http://www.microbiology.ubc.ca/tbeatty/.)  Preferred applicants will have
experience with photosynthetic bacteria, and must have experience in at
least two of the following areas:  bacterial molecular biology; physiology;
biochemistry; genomics/proteomics; optical spectroscopy.  Funding is
available for a minimum of two years with possible extensions.  Please send
