[Photosynthesis] Hydrogen sulfide bacteria

What is the source of energy L. luymesi uses at the bottom of the
ocean to split hydrogen sulfide? I assume it is heat energy, and that
the hydrogen is used to reduce carbon dioxide. Correct?
