Dear Colleagues,

I am announcing the 5th Practical Summer Workshop in Functional Genomics (PSWFG, June 6 to 17, 2016) at The Ohio State University. As in the past, it will be an honor to have your advanced undergraduate students, masters students and new Ph.D. students apply. We are building a world-class set of speakers (working confirmed list below), and the research will cover several state-of-the-art techniques to address fundamental questions in plant biology. You can find more information at https://caps.osu.edu/2016-FGW . The site is being constantly updated to include schedules, events and other information. It also has links to previous events that would give you a better idea of what we have done in the past. The site contains a link for applications, from which we anticipate accepting 20 to 30 highly qualified participants.

I would very much appreciate if you could start spreading the word and directing interested individuals to apply. Please feel free to contact me at slotkin.2 from osu.edu<mailto:slotkin.2 from osu.edu> if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Keith Slotkin
Coordinator, 2016 PSWFG
