I am teaching an intermediate-level course on plant morphology and
systematics and am having trouble locating recent references and
reviews on the subject both for my use and use by students. I would
be interested in recommendation on texts (I do have most recent
edition of Steeves and Sussex) and also specific information about
1. Cell wall formation including the role of microtubules in
orienting cellulose microfibrils as well as mechanisms of cell wall
loosening.
2. Hormonal or other controls on whole plant development. I will
shortly be lecturing about architectural models of plant growth and
wanted to be able to provide more about the process behind the
pattern.
