I am looking for a good introductory biology text to use in teaching
non-majors. Currently, we are using Starr and Taggart "Biology: The
unity and Diversity of LIfe" sixth edition. With the new edition out it
is time to consider a new text.
I like to find something that makes biology come alive and be
relavent, with less technical jargon. I am especially interested in a
text that focuses on the botanical aspects. The class is team taught
with one instructor teaching the animal portion and the other teaching
the other 4 kingdoms.
Any suggestions welcomed
Thanks
