Assistance in Research Project

I am a grade 9 student starting on a research project attempting to
ascertain if the usage of etr mutants allows Arabidopsis to survive
periods of flooding. Usually the shoots of plants subject to water
logging suffer from ethylene toxicity. Resulting in poorer growth.
the role of ethylene at least in dicots seems to be to promote
aerenchyma development. However some studies have shown that in
monocots (i.e. barley) ethylene is not responsible for aerenchyma
formation. A gene identified as myb has been shown to be activated
during anoxic conditions and may have a role to play in this picture.

My problem however is the locating of materials i.e wildtype Arabidopsis
seeds. I am currently exploring several project ideas would like the
advice and help of anyone in the Greater Toronto Area(GTA) in Ontario,
Canada on any of the above mentioned ideas and theories.

Thanks in advance,

Neeloy
