To my colleagues in Plant Science:
This is to announce that I have placed a study of plants on the
Internet at:
http://www.mancol.edu/science/biology/plants_new/intro/start.html

This Study presents examples of the diversity of the major plant
groups and is designed in a way that the user can browse all or
specific plant descriptions. It is intended as a resource for
students at all levels, grades 9 through college, as well as
amateurs who appreciate plants as gifts of nature. Whereas the
Study provides the basic information necessary to pursue advanced
areas of the plant sciences and may be considered as a
requirement for Biology majors at the baccalaureate level, it
also contains links to more extensive data at other Web sites.

The html files have been designed for quick downloading. The
transparent .gif files of some graphics range from 2 - 30 K and
there are some digitized photographs that may be as large as
80 K. A notation appears in the text describing these
components as "larger .gif or .jpg files" which would require
more download time. Also, some plant examples are linked to
other Internet sites for further information.

If you have questions, comments or materials you would like to
add to this Study send e-mail to me, Frances M. Cardillo at:
 cardillo at manvax.cc.mancol.edu
Do enjoy it and please tell your colleagues.
Frances Cardillo
