We might need some more information. What amount of
agar was dissolved in what volume of medium? How
long did you wait before deciding it would not gel?
What were the components of the medium? Did you
adjust the pH correctly? Did you adequately mix
the medium and agar before and after autoclaving?
These are all critical elements to deciding on how
to proceed.
