I've grown Ephedra in our small rooftop greenhouse for over
a year. Beware! They don't like to be overwatered.

Sources kindly suggested to me by the Denver Botanical
          Garden in 1995:

          Ephedra minima:
            Siskiyou Rare Plant Nursery
            2825 Cummings Road
            Medford, OR 97501
            503-772-6846

          Ephedra nevadensis
            Plants of the Southwest
Aqua Fria, Rt. 6, Box 11A
            Santa Fe, NM 87501
            505-471-2212 (1-800-788-7333)
I ordered mine from here. They sell seeds (easy to
          grow) and small established plants.
