Plant-eders;
I'm going to be teaching an honors section of Botany (a first-year course
with a lab) in the fall and would like to hear advice from any of you who
have taught such a thing. I'll be using Moore et al.'s text and lab
manual, but I would like to spice up the course with outside readings,
writing assignments, and labs that allow students to be creative... Please
share your thoughts!
I am excited to read the new book by Karl Niklas: "The Evolutionary Biology
of Plants", U of Chicago Press
(http://www.press.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/hfs.cgi/00/13242.ctl). Can anyone
comment on it?
Thanks!
p.s. to e-mail subscribers: Remember to just delete ads posted to this
newsgroup. Please don't reply to the group because the senders won't see
them and we all must delete them. We could change to being a moderated
group, but there are downsides to that, so lets try to put up with the
"spams" for now. Thanks.
Jon
