Thanks for all the reponses to my inquiry about whether or not to add the
new Flora of North America to an undergraduate library. In summary
taxonomists feel that it is an essential tool for their research,
particularly because it will contain the latest in accepted botanical
nomenclature. The majority of the responses suggested that the Flora of
North America would not be a wise addition to the library of an
undergraduate school like mine where taxonomy is not a research priority.
