Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) seeds exhibit dormancy which is lost =
following a six-month after-ripening.  =20

Successful dormancy-breaking treatments recommended

1. Gibberellic Acid (GA3): preapplied, 48 h, 100-500 ppm
2. Gibberellic Acid (GA3): co-applied , 0.5-500 ppm, at 26 C in light, =
continous or dark
3. Indolebutyric acid: co-applied, 0.5-50 ppm, at 26 C in light, =
continous or dark
4. Coumarin: co-applied, 0.5-100, at 26 C in light, continuos or dark
5. 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid: co-applied, 0.5-500 ppm, at 26 C in =
light, continuous or dark
