To all,
Does anyone know of a recent review or research paper on guard cell
chloroplasts? I need answers to such questions as: Do maize guard cell
chloroplasts have cyclic and/or non-cyclic electron flow? Do they have
enzymes of carbon fixation? Do they do much net photosynthesis or do they
just provide ATP and NADPH for stomatal functioning? The most recent thing
I can find is: Zeiger, E. Gotow, K. Mawson, B. Taylor, S. 1987. The
guard cell chloroplast: properties and function. Progress in
photosynthesis research : proceedings of the VIIth International Congress
on Photosynthesis, edited by J. Biggins. v. 4 p. 273-280.
