Aloe Vera Problem . . . .

Aloe vera is a succlulent of the lily family.  Offshoots can be detached and
rooted, and plants with long stems can be made into cuttings (expose to air
for the first few hours to allow the cuts to suberize).  Place your leaf
"bits" horizontally into a propagating medium... try 2 parts sand, 1 part loam
soil, 1 part compost, and some limestone.  Keep the medium moist, but be
careful of rot (that's why the leaves are air dried first).

Also, I would suggest going to your local library and checking out a book on
basic plant propagation, if you're interested in the subject.
