FACULTY POSITIONS IN BIOLOGY-VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY

EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY and ECOLOGY

The Department of Biology at Vanderbilt University invites applications for
two tenure track positions to be filled at junior or senior level for the
fall of 1999.  For the EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY position, we are particularly
interested in individuals using molecular and/or phylogenetic methods to
investigate evolutionary questions at the organismal level. For the ECOLOGY
position, we seek applicants using experimental approaches to address
questions at any level from individuals to communities.  Successful
candidates will be expected to establish vigorous, externally funded
research programs, and to contribute to the teaching mission of the
