Can anyone help me with a question I recieved in my introdutory botany
class regardig c4 photosynthesis?
The student asked what keeps malate from being decarboxylated into co2 and
pyruvate in the mesophyll (what keeps it moving to the bundle sheath for
this reaction rather than just happening in the meosphyll)
