Bob: At last week's ASPP meeting there was an interesting poster on growing
Arabidopsis hydroponically. It was poster # 47 by R.N. Arteca (abstracts are
online).
I am going to try it: float foam-rubber (they looked like the kind used in
Drosophila vials) stuck into the holes of test-tube racks floating in a 1/8
nutrient solution. Place the seeds on top of the foam, and they grow down
into it. Aeration is not required if you change the solution once a
week....the roots grow right down into it.
