1) SNP Detection by Enzymatic Means
So you want to get into SNP detection, but youre not quite ready to turn in

2) Light Microscopy Diffraction Limit Overcome
Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry have overcome
the traditional resolution limitation of light microscopy (the wave nature of
light). As reported in the July 15 issue of Optics Letters, Thomas Klar and
Stefan Hell used a process known as stimulated-emission depletion (STED) to
sculpt a fluorescence signal, thereby increasing resolution.

1) Integrated Co-Reporter Assay
Promega's Dual-Luciferase Reporter Assay System provides an integrated co-
reporter assay by combining the firefly luciferase assay with an assay for a
second luciferase, Renilla luciferase. In this system, the activities of the
firefly and Renilla luciferases are measured sequentially from a single sample,
requiring 30 seconds to complete in low throughput and approximately four
seconds in high throughput applications.

Providing standard magnification range from 6.7 to 80x, Leica's MZ9.5
stereomicroscope has 9.5:1 zoom for biological and life science applications.
The lenses on this instrument were developed by computer-controlled design
systems, and the modular design of the microscope permits the user to add
accessories and customize it for specific applications.

3) Magnetic Particle Processor
Labsystem's KingFisher Magnetic Particle Processor is the first machine of its
kind to isolate pure single stranded DNA. The 11-step procedure takes place in
a single place and is performed by pushing a button. During these steps, beads
are collected, washed, incubated and mixed with the sample, the biotinylated
dsDNA. At the end, magnetic beads carrying pure ssDNA are released into the
last well, and the free complementary DNA strand can be found.
