The MAD Scientist Network (www.madsci.org) is a free/non-profit
organization that provides answers to science questions from K-12
students and the Internet community. The service is staffed and run by
volunteer scientists from around the world. We answer questions in many
areas of science including Astronomy, Chemistry, the Biological Sciences,
Physics and Engineering. The site currently receives ~3,000 questions/
month, and maintains a freely available & searchable archive of more than
12,000 answered questions. Questions are reviewed by a group of volunteer
scientists before being sent to a specific scientist for an answer.
