Biological Clock in Plants

To oversimplify greatly, flowering can be triggered by a number of
things, including day length, temperature, water availability, etc. In
that all plants of a species in a given area are subject to pretty
much the same conditions, they all respond more or less in the same
way. Yes, there are theories about plant communication, but most of
them are not taken seriously by mainstream biologists.
