Thanks for the responses; they definitely give me a place to start.
I've looked at a number of local state schools (in Atlanta) and so far
have not been able to locate one that offers botany or horticulture
classes.  I'm not necessarily looking for a degree (I have an MS in a
non-science related field), but I would like to learn more about
things like propogation, hybridization, and TC.  And for that reason,
access to lab classes would be ideal.  I imagine for the topics I'm
interested in, hands-on learning is critical.  Maybe I can search at
UGA in Athens for more helpl.  That Economic  Botany class does look
useful as well.
