The tubing has about a 6mm outer diameter and a 4mm inner diameter, but I
think it was chosen based on what was available in the stock cabinet rather
than scientifically. The stopper that fits into the atmometer is number 2,
going into a stalk with a 1.7 cm inner diameter, 2.3 outer. The bulb itself
has a 5.1 cm (2 inch) diameter.

>Katherine: That Atmometer sounds neat. How thick is the glass tubing I
>wonder? Soil potentiometers have porous ceramic bulbs on them, so maybe
>they could be rigged up.
