socalbot.org) had an excellent article by Timothy Ross in its journal
Crossosma that explains how and why to collect. Reprints (in the form
of a ~ 5X8'' booklet) of "Herbarium specimens as documents: purposes and
general collecting techniques" are $3.95 each or $22.50 for 10. Checks
