bioinformatics education

Need some input here. I would like to take up courses on bioinformatics but
I can only do it in distance learning mode (on campus yes but need a job
there as well). But both of my honour and master degree are in computers and
IT. i am currently working as a system/oracle dba.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
