I am a sophomore biology major at Cedarville University. For my
botany class, a group I am a part of is researching the explosive
dehisence of Impatiens. For our experiments we are using Impatiens
capensis as well as a cultivated variety. One of our hypotheses is
that fruit dehiscence will be altered by prior exposure to
pretreatment with various salt concentrations. We were curious to
know what kind of information there was regarding this subject. We
have searched in scientific journals and have not found any helpful
information. Anything information you could give us would be greatly
appreciated!
Thank you,
Carrie Ziegenfuss
