Hi!

I think you are writing of Mimosa pudica (the sensitive plant)
which has compound leaves and therefore looks "fern-like".
However, this plant is actually a flowering plant and will have
pink flowers that produce a fruit that contains seeds...definitely
not a fern.  The seeds of this plant are available at most garden
stores in a novelty-seed section.
