Hi Plant-eders,
We're gearing up to start a new first-year bio course in the fall and
one of the labs will be on plant mineral nutrient requirements. As I
understand it, students will design and test several nutrient mixtures
on several species of plants with the goal being to develop a more
'cost-effective' mixture (a fictitious company needs to cut costs and
each stock solution will have a price... I didn't develop the lab but I
think it sounds like fun).
My question is - do any of you run large intro lab exercises anything
like this? We would like to talk with you about setup logistics before
we invest in too many carboys and bottles...
Thanks!
Jon
