Can Some Plant Tendrils be "Carnivorous"?

Hi:

I recently took some pictures that suggest that some plant tendrils
might serve some purpose besides helping to anchor the plant. The pictures
can be viewed at:

>From the images shown, my impression is that the plant tendil might actually
be drawing nourishment from the carcass of an insect that it had "captured".

I thought that this issue might be of interest to someone involved in
science education. I have additional images of the plant's other features
(leaves, flowers, etc) which would help in identification of the plant
species, and would supply them via email upon request.
