about plant potential measurement

i want to do some experiments to measure the potential of a plant, named
posta. now i am thinking the test scheme, how to shoose the electrode?
if can i use some electrodes for human body, such as the electrode for
EMG, ECG, and so on?
please give me some advice, i will appreciate it very much
