Genetics/Microbiology/Neurobiology
The Department of Biology at Creighton University invites applications for
three assistant professorships to begin August 2006. Two positions are
tenure track; tenure track status for the third is pending. Candidates
should be qualified to teach Genetics with lab, Microbiology with lab, or
Neurobiology with lab, in addition to other biology courses in their
respective disciplines for introductory, upper-division and/or non-science
undergraduates. Ph.D. required; post-doctoral experience preferred.
Candidates should possess a strong desire to teach in a liberal arts
environment. Mentoring of undergraduate research students is expected.
Tenure and advancement require effective teaching and development of a
research program leading to peer-reviewed publications. Opportunities exist
for research collaboration with faculty in other departments, including
those in Creighton's health sciences colleges. Additional information on
