Hi-
I teach an intro botany course at a community college. I've read the
description of a lab exercise where students capture air-borne pollen
grains (using silicon grease on glass slides), then stain and
identify the pollen. It sounded like fun.
Has anyone performed a lab like this, with non-majors, and did it
work well?
I have found a simple key online, but are there any reasonbly easy to
use dichotomous keys that include photos?
Any help would be appreciated.
