[Plant-education] Rose Bushes coated in wax....&In-Reply-To=

I hope you have better luck with the waxed rose bushes than I. I know the wax is suppose to flake off, but in our southern sun it melts and the canes often turn black and die. I think the wax must get too hot and burn the bush. I have much better luck with roses that don't have the wax. The ones that are waxed also have a greater rate of disease. I have been growing roses for 30+ years and have grown about 75 varieties. I wish there was a better way than the wax.
