Perhaps this message is reaching Kenneth Cameron. It's coming from a
senior physics faculty member of a small college in Vermont interested
in a 1997 survey of faculty workload that I found on-line over your
signature. Do you know of anyone who has done a more recent compilation
of similar statistics? I am on a committee attempting to establish some
rational basis for comparing faculty workloads that involve mixtures of
lecture hours and lab teaching hours.
Though your compilation is 12 years old, patterns probably haven't
changed much. The survey is interesting. Thanks for doing it and for
your consideration of my question above.
