Organisms within Ecotones.

hello,
 I am looking for literature regarding the structuring of animals, plants and
protozoa across ecotones. i.e how the organisms are aligned due to the changes
in physical/chemical/structural across an ecotone. While my own work
relates to land- water ecotones, I would appreciate any information
regarding these organisms in other types of ecotone.
