I'm a mere lurker on this group; but as a technical writer and long-time
fan of single-celled life, I've been interested in the protista since
they were infusoria.I'm writing to stir you guys up. I want to see this
group survive.
Maybe a question would help. Can I get some discussion and/or some
references about the ecological role of protista is soils?
Soil organisms are another interest of mine, particularly the unsung
springtails that do as much as the earthworms to keep the humus humming,
at least in the temperate zone. But what about the protista?
