Within the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, you will work on
a project to investigate the distribution of the parasitic protozoan
Cryptosporidium in an agricultural ecosystem. This organism can cause
periodic outbreaks of sometimes severe diarrhoeal disease. The project,
funded by MAFF and the Environment Agency, will involve data processing,
data analysis and report writing with some field and laboratory work of a
microbiological nature. You should have a good Honours Degree or
equivalent, plus some relevant experience, in appropriate aspects of
Biological or Environmental Sciences and with particular interest in
statistical analysis of survey data. Possession of a clean, current
driving licence is desirable. For an informal discussion contact Dr Tony
Sturdee (01203 838175) or leave a message on (01203 838678) or email
byx032 at coventry.ac.uk.

The post is available until the end of February 1998.
