Actinopodea - ? becoming rare

I was interested to read that Werner Nachtigall
in his book "Exploring With the Miroscope",
mentioned that "the most interesting helizoans
are becoming rare" e.g. Actinosphaerium.

I have found, in my recent samples, many of
these "rare" organisms, from many sites.

I would be interested to learn the views of others
as to the rarity of these organisms.
