POSTDOCTORAL POSITION 

A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Texas at Austin
to investigate the regulation of intron splicing by light (see Deshpande et
al. (1997) RNA 3, 37-48), and the mechanism of intron mobility (see
Durrenberger et al. (1996) Nucl. Acids Res. 24, 3323-3331) in
Chlamydomonas. A background in molecular biology and/or genetics is
desirable, but all applicants will be considered. The University of Texas
is currently expanding its presence in molecular biology, having recently
created state-of-the-art core facilities, and begun a major hiring effort.
In addition, Austin is one of the most livable cities in the U.S., known
for its quality of life and surrounding environs. Interested applicants
