Ingestion of nutrition in protista species

I try to define species in the Kingdom of Fungi against other
heterotrophe organism from the Kingdom of Protista and the Kingdom of
Animalia(?).

The part I wonder about is the ingestion of food in protista. Do
protista phagocytose its nutrition, or absorb it as fungi does?
