Post-doc position available for research in trypanosomes

A post-doctoral positions is available at the Research Unit for Tropical
Diseases of the Christian de Duve Institute of Cellular Pathology (ICP),
in Brussels, Belgium.

Various topics are being studied in the TROP Unit: (i) the
identification and characterization of potential drug targets and the
rational design of drugs for trypanosome-borne diseases (sleeping
sickness, Chagas' disease and Leishmaniasis);  (ii), the biogenesis of
the glycosome, a microbody involved in the glycolytic pathway of the
Trypanosomatidae; (iii) the study of the enzymes of the
pentose-phosphate pathway in trypanosomatids.

The ICP is an international institute for biomedical research, located
on the campus of the Medical Faculty of the Universite Catholique de
Louvain (UCL) in Brussels. It houses more than 300 people of which some
250 are directly involved in research.
