in the western Gulf of Mexico
A Research Scientist Assistant position is available to conduct
laboratory and field research associated with a joint University of
Texas at Austin and NOAA project. Research focuses on the
dynamics of
Karenia brevis. Tasks include Identification, enumeration, field
collections, chlorophyll analysis and database management. An
individual with expertise in microscopic analyses of phytoplankton
and
background in some aspect of phytoplankton taxonomy is desired.
Individuals are expected to be well-organized, self-motivated, and
able to work independently or as part of a team. This position is
