In celebration of its 100th anniversary this year, the journal
Protist (formerly Archiv fuer Protistenkunde) has announced an
award
of $2000 (U.S.) to be given for the best paper published in the
journal in volumes 153 and 154 (2002 and 2003). On this occasion
Protist also offers corresponding authors of all original papers
published in Vol. 153 (2002) a free subscription to the journal for
