Postdoctoral Research Associate - Microbial Biofilms
Postdoctoral position is available in the Center for Environmental
Diagnostics and Bioremediation at the University of West Florida to
study estuarine microbial biofilms. The successful candidate will
have
a Ph.D. in microbiology or molecular biology, with broad molecular
expertise to assess diversity within microbial communities in
general
and within functional microbial populations that catalyze
biogeochemical cycles (e.g., nitrogen, sulfur). Ideal skills will
include DNA / RNA extraction, general PCR methods, TRFLP,
FISH, and
DNA microarray development. Biofilm experience is desirable but not
