Postdoctoral Research Associate in Phytoplankton Transcriptional
Regulation
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a DOE-
funded
project that will use a combination of computational, biochemical,
molecular genetic, and physiological approaches to define
transcriptional regulatory networks in cyanobacteria. Experiments
will
be conducted using several different cyanobacterial strains, both
marine and freshwater, growing under a variety of conditions. The
project will require detailed characterization of the physiological
status of these cultures and the development or adaptation of new
methods to test predicted regulatory interactions and to search for
novel interactions. The project is located at the Marine Sciences
Research Center, and will also take advantage of resources available
elsewhere on the SUNY Stony Brook campus. Further information is
available from the SUNY Stony Brook web site at URLs

biochemistry, molecular biology, or phytoplankton physiology is
required, and experience with some specific component of this project
is desirable. The application deadline has been extended to September
23, 2002 (position will remain open until filled). Please submit a
