2004 Annual Meeting of the Society of Protozoologists
Second Announcement

The 56th Annual Meeting of the Society of Protozoologists will
be held at Bryant College, Smithfield Rhode Island, June 2-6,
2004. The outstanding symposia, invited lectures, and special
sessions for this meeting will have broad appeal to
protistologists, whether they have an organismal or molecular
approach. Talks will encompass heterotrophic and phototrophic
taxa exhibiting parasitic to free-living life-styles.

Genome Evolution in Microbial Eukaryotes (an all day
symposium)

The Local Organizing Committee has taken every measure to keep
meeting costs low, while providing quality housing, meals, and
meeting activities. Registration cost is only $180 for
regular members and $80 for students. In addition, on-campus
rooms are available for $30/night and attendees can register
for an inexpensive on-campus meal plan. Social activities
include an opening reception, wine and cheese poster session,
Rhode Island Picnic with seafood, chicken, chowder, etc, and a
field trip to historic Newport.

On-line registration will open in March, with deadline for
early registration and abstract submittal being 15 May.
