[Protista] ATCC Biologist position in protistology

Please see the below job description for an open Biologist position in
Protistology at ATCC. Interested individuals may contact me at the

Job Description:

 

Requirements: M.S. degree in a biology, microbiology, parasitology or
related field with a minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience in an
academic or industrial environment. (BS degree in appropriate field with
a minimum of 4 years applicable experience also accepted). Candidate
with experience in culture techniques for the propagation and
cryopreservation of protists (free living or parasitic) is highly
desirable. Knowledge of techniques pertaining to DNA isolation and
molecular authentication by PCR-based methods is a plus. Candidate must
be able to work with minimal supervision in the design and execution of
experiments, the generation of protocols, and analysis of data. Advanced
computer skills including experience with data entry, use of biological
databases, and generation of reports is required. Individual must also
demonstrate capability to train others and excellent oral and written
communication skills.
