To all Schistosoma researchers:
Has anyone ever tried to (or know of anyone else who has tried to)
establish schisto inbred strains (back crosses; sister crosses)?
Background:
Genetic heterogeneity in the conventional Schistosoma stocks
makes it difficult and in most cases impossible to distinguish between
polymorphism (= multiple alleles) and gene families (= isoforms).
