Don,
you might try contacting Don McManus and Paul Brindley in Australia. They
are working on the S. Japonicum side of the Schisto genome project using
an EST approach and may be able to help you either with the clone itself or
with an EST clone which appears homologous to Sj23.
Alternatively, there are already numerous S. mansoni ESTs on Genbank/DBest
some of which may have sig homology with Sj23 which you could use as probes.
